A cool October
a not so cold night,
yet the chills ran deep,
a night filled with
fright.
Bludgeon was there,
A date with dementia
and Gorgach Urchin
Did they not getcha?
Master of the barn
The butcher bloodshed,
he took what he needed
and left the rest dead.
Then entered the clowns
Their jokes were lethal.
Those comics of doom
Became pure evil.
Then you were trapped
Deep in Misery's mine.
Stayed true to the task
Yet you had no spine?
For the timbers did creek
and boulders did crash,
First breathing dust
then the fire and ash.
And what became
of an old sawmill,
When rage took o'er
It was time to kill.
The cemetery's path
a mysterious lane,
Where all still lived
and screams were in vain
The hotel stood tall
in the town Weepingville,
where once lived many
It is now quite still.
Yet Some have noted
on nightly occasion,
the deceased still roam
with no population.
Then as you live.
Then as you die.
The country morgue,
It's your final goodbye
This sleeping little farm
has turned in for the
night.
Yet spirits still dwell
where there is no light.
So my friend, I say
too speak quietly.
If presence be known
pain comes severely.
For within this darkness
the dread still burned.
In Two thousand and ten
The terror returned.

1) Where are you located?
We are one mile north and one mile west of the
Woodward Airport entrance. This year we are much easier to
find thanks to the lit sign at the end of our road. Please go to our
location page for a map. Just remember...Turn North at our
sign.
2) Is there a line for the Nightmare in the Country?
Yes, but this year will move very quickly as groups of 6 or less
will enter about every 5 minutes. You could wait up to an hour or
longer in line. We will get you in as soon as we can.
3) How Long will it take to see all of Nightmare in the Country?
This year the trail and all attractions are about 1/2 mile long and
depending on your frightened pace could last as short as 45 minutes
to over an hour.
4) 2 Years ago we rode part of the way through NITC, will we be
able to ride this year?
Myrvelda, our beloved trailer has gone into forced retirement. We
found that the group size to fill Myrvelda was a little to large for
people to get most out of our scares. This year you will be walking
an expanded trail with more chills and frights than last year, in
much smaller groups.
5) What if it rains?
We will post on our website if we will be closed due to rain for
that night by 4:00pm. It may be raining where you are or in Woodward
and not at Nightmare in the Country. If you wish and are
unsure please call us.
6) What if it rains, and I purchased a
ticket online?
If we close due to rain, and you have a ticket on
call, that ticket may be used for another night.
7) Is there an age limit?
You know your children better than we do. We recommend 10 and up,
however we had much younger children last year. We have tried to
make Nightmare in the Country as terrifying as possible. Please use
your own judgment and common sense. NITC is intended to be
terrifying.
8) What should I wear and what type of shoes?
Dress warmly in layers and if those extra garments are not needed
just leave them in your car. Open toed shoes, sandals, flip
flops are highly discouraged. We are a working farm with
all sorts of toe eating creatures on the premises.
9) Are you available for private parties
Yes.
10)Can we take pictures? Use our mobile or cell
phones?
No electronic media of any kind may be used in the
park. This includes phones, cameras, Ipods, MP3 players, or
pagers. YOU MAY WEAR YOUR PACEMAKER!
11)Are smoking and tobacco usage allowed?
Yes, in our courtyard only ... but once in the park,
No.
As a courtesy to those in line we ask you not smoke
in line.
12)Will your actors touch me?
Our actors will not intentionally touch you,
therefore we ask that you do not touch our actors.
and finally 13) Is bad behavior, abusing the actors
and alcohol allowed in the park?
Absolutely, only long enough to get you kicked out.
